Nice Guy Rave

We have our regulars that come in every day, most days at about the same time, and get the same thing(s).

One of our favorites is a guy that comes in here all the time, sometimes with his fun little pug. He is very nice, pleasant to talk with, always in a good mood. . .just the kind of person that you like to see everyday!

Anyhow, he did the nicest thing the other day and I just thought that I would share.

After making his usual morning purchases and a little conversation, he pulls out a punch card that is not his and a $5.00 bill. He asked me if I knew the customer who’s punch card he had handed to me, I said that I did. Then he hands me the $5.00 and asked me if I knew what she drank, which I did.  With a shy smile on his face, he asks me if the $5.00 would be enough to fill up her punch card so that she would have a free drink.   I told him it would, rang in the drink and filled up the punch card, handing it back to him with my own big smile!    Turning to leave, he tells me to keep it a secret and not let her know that he had done this for her.

I was then lucky enough to be here the next morning when the gal came in.  We conversed as usual, and as I made her drink I noticed her fishing out her punch card from the customer box.

What was great is that she didn’t even notice that it was full!

And when I pointed that out it TOTALLY made her day!!  🙂

Well she figured out what had happened ( and I promise that I didn’t tell her anything!) and sent her thanks to him via yours truely!

It just makes me happy to know that we have such nice customers!  There really are some very kind people in the world doing their little part to make this place a little happier!
