Keep your shoes on Rant

So there’s comfortable, and then there’s too comfortable!   Now don’t get me wrong. . .we want people to come in and feel happy to be here, a homey atmosphere is  something that we strive for. . . but here are a few examples of taking it a little too far!

We are having a fairly busy day, a lot of little business meetings and personal get togethers. People coming and going, doing the usual. Then a cute 30 something couple walks in kanoodling with eachother. Cute right! They order, and say sweet little loving things to each other and take their drinks to the ” living room” and snuggle on the couch. All very cute!

About a half hour passes with customers coming and going. The next thing that I know, and cute couple on the couch has turned into make out session 101!  So I find some reason to go clean tables by the couches thinking that this will cool their jets a little and maybe remind them that they are out in the public eye!    NOT A CHANCE. . . . .

Cute couple has now turned into a public nightmare! With her actually climbing up on his lap doin a little dance number. . . .( um people this is not a night club!!!)

Does me cleaning the tables more vigirously stop them?. . . NO. . . Does me moving the chairs in a loud manner stop them?. . . .NO. . Does me “hem-hemming” them stop them?. . .NO!

What does finally stop them is the large group of little old women that came in, who didn’t have any problem pointing out to each other the “cute couple” having the make out session, and saying to one another that they should get a room!       Thanks Granny!!!!
