Change. . .and not the kind you spend

We have a running group that meets across the way from us.  They are the Vancouver Fit running group (plug!) and they are a great group of people.

I LOVE their group’s slogan:

Be the Change you want to see in the World

I just think that this is a great message! If you want things to change in the world do something about it yourself!

And it doesn’t have to be anything big!!!!       Do something. . .anything. . .for your neighborhood,  your family,  your kids school,  your local animal shelter,  a homeless person,  an elderly person,  or the person sitting next to you!

Donate your time.  Donate your expertise. Donate your hands. Donate food.

Do something for someone that you wish someone would do for you!

It doesn’t have to be hard.    And it doesn’t have to cost you any money.  And the feeling you will get from doing something kind for someone else is worth a million!!

If  you never do anything different. . .nothing will ever change!

  2. I like this…that is my Favorite quote! It comes from Mahatma Ghandi.

Thank you for expanding on this quote as people should remember this daily! Call me a hippie but wouldn’t the world be a better place if we each did 1 thing every day…it would have a domino effect!

  3. Great quote! Didn’t John Mayer write a song with a similar theme?

I definitely have to do more to make a change in the world and not just from a fiscal sense but in helping others in general.

Always love hanging out here at Savona Debbie. Glad to see you have a blog. Did you see the TwitPic I took?
